NANI Joshi Max Returns

You get home from buying some dvds. You pop in the one with the wierd ugly cover and you sit back to enjoy. You haven't seen this fed in a while after it disappeared without a trace. You press play and are greeted with static screen. Great another bootleg? No wonder it only cost 5 bucks.You remember considering wheteher buying your wrestling dvds from chinatown was a good idea before you left the house. Oh wait...there is a picture slowly showing up through the static. There is that good old NANI ring. Wait something is wrong in the building. It is a bit dark but you can barely make out the bodies lying around the outside of the ring. Some are motionless while others show some signs of life, or is that pain? Two of these bodies slowly climb back into the lit ring near two opposite corners. They are Akira Blaze and White Bear. Neither of them look so good. Their hair is disheveled and their masks are partially torn and bloodied along with their attire. They struggle to stand up using the turnbuckle for assistance. They face each other with menancing looks and Akira Blaze gives out a yell as White Bear growls loudly. Then they rush at each other shrieking wildly. When they meet there is a huge bang and a white flash quickly engulfs the shot originating from the center of the ring. Then there is static.

-Starwipe-
A few years later...(rolls along the screen from side to side)

A little boy is playing in what appears to be a dump or wasteland. He seems to be digging holes or something. Anyways we zoom out and there is a piece of paper that seems to be stuck to the ground. It has really loud yellow text on a pink background. The boy notices this paper and comes over to free it from the ground. He tries to pull hard enough not to tear it but fails. He looks closer at what is anchoring it into the ground and a dirty white hand forcefully pops out and crumbles the paper. Our boy screams and flies back as the shot freezes with a very comical expression of fear on his face. Then these words come on the screen over the shot:

NANI Beginnings

Show 1:
NANI Joshi Max: Inauguration


The 250 person crowd buzzes in a small auditorium somewhere in Okinawa. A woman in a ringleader costume comes into the stage with a mic.

[Yoko]: "I am Announcer Yoko. Welcome to the first ever, NANI Joshi Max show. Enjoy..."

Before she announces the match, masked referee El Che enters the ring. He performs a back flip and waits for the wrestlers. Before the camera focuses on the entrance it zooms in on a sign on the ramp. It looks like a deer crossing sign, except it has what looks like a bear. Lets begin the show.

1. Meg Clinton v. Visper Karr

We start off with Meg and Karr trading blows and throws. A firemans carry gives Visper the upper hand and she delivers a back drop to Meg. She throws Meg to the ropes and misses a kick. Meg comes back with a firemans carry of her own and begins working on Vispers leg. Visper suprises Meg with a rollup. Meg qucikly kicks out before EL Che has a chance to count. She punishes Visper for that with a high round kick to the face. Visper goes out to recoup herself. El Che forces Meg back. VIsper comes back with some backhand chops and and another backdrop and a side suplex. Cover, 1 count. Meg tries to come back with some strikes and a harai-goshi. Visper shrugs it off and delivers a spin kick. Into the corner she gives Meg a big jumping elbow pat. Visper puts Meg in a headlock and Meg counters with a back drop and then a side suplex of her own. Both women are down. Meg gets up first and throws Visper into the corner. She runs and delivers a BIG knee pat to Vispers face. She covers for a two count! She picks Visper up, URUNAGE. She covers again and Visper miraculously kicks out. With Visper still down, Meg goes for a figure four leg lock. Visper cries out in pain as the fans urge her on. She reaches the ropes and kicks Meg in the face while getting up. She bounces off the ropes as Meg slowly gets up, jumping elbow pat! When Meg doesn't go down she brings her down with a high kick combo. She picks Meg up and gives her a double arm suplex. She couvers, 1...2....Meg kicks out. Visper throws her to the ropes and tries for a drop toe hold. Meg slides through the small opening between Vispers legs, wow. When Vipser pops up Meg kicks her in the gut and.....BOOT TO THE HEAD. Visper goes down on one knee....another Boot to the Head! Dangerous! El CHe checks on Visper andshe seems to be out. Meg covers with herleg on Vispers head and El Che counts 1,2,3. It's over. Meg's karate moves overcome.

2. Baby Aki Invitational

Some J-pop comes on and Baby Aki comes into the ring. She looks young and is wearing a short schoolgirl outfit and is holding a microphone. She bows before she begins talking.

[Babi Aki]: "Hello people. I am Baby Aki. today I learned that many people thinkthat I can't survive in this company. I was laughed at when I would make a challenge. They asked me if I was not afraid to mess up my perfect, beautiful body."

She poses and a few young men in the audience whistle out. Wolves...

"I know I may look delicate but I can fight. I wouldn't be here if I couldn't. So this is why I am issuing an open challenge. To anyone out back, and anyone in attendance too. Who wants to fight?"

She stands in the middle of the ring with a cute look of determination and her hands at her waist. Then a look of fear comes on her face as MACHISMO comes out. He is a big man in camoflauge. He is the ultimate man, sexist pig. A few women in the audience boo him and he throws his cigar at them. He has a smile on his face. He rubs his hands together as he enters the ring ready to conquer another wench. Baby Aki shrivels away. She backs up into the corner and Machismo slowly walks towards her with a grin oin his face. She panics and tries to kick him in the bozac. He blocks and gets angry. No more games as he takes a swing. She ducks and runs away. He gives chase and they run around the ring in circles. He get's smart like the man he is and runs in the other direction and catches her. He throws her into the corner and kills her with a lariat. She is lying on the post and Machismo gets an idea. He walks up and starts undoing thebuttonson her shirt. Hegets it opens and yells out to the guys in the audience. As they cheer someone runs in from the back. He slides into the ring wearing hotpants and a tight shirt. It's D Queen! He stands facing Machismo and Machismo turns and looks with a look of disgust. He goes to hit D Queen with a lariat but Queen rolls under. He lights Machismo up with a bitchslap. D Queen bounces off the opposite ropes and runs up to Machismo like he is going for a slam dunk. He jumps and turns in mid-air. The Super Rainbow Bum ((hip attack)) connects and Machismo flies out of the ring. Two lady ring attendants drag him to the back. D Queen helps Baby Aki out of the ring.

3. NANI Tag: Colleen Dramesi/ Nicole Dramesi v. Midori Kuwahara/Kaori NiGHT

After NiGHt's stage performance and dance number (complete with light show and back up dancers), NiGHT and Midori stand in attention in their corner as Colleen sits on the post and Nicole stares them down all mean looking. After El Che calls for the bell he retreats to the outside because all hell breaks loose. Tornado tag, no count-outs. Those are the NANI rules. Midori and NiGHT try to take the big woman down. Colleen always came from behind and helped Nicole out. NiGHT and Midori were thrown outside numerous times. Colleen dove out with a plancha suicide every chance she had. On the outside NiGHT and Midori made a comeback using some chairs from the fans. Then it became a chair throwing battle. Nicole caught it on the face as she was looking for another chair. Then NiGHT and Midori focused on Colleen. They punished Colleen with kicks. Night gives her a ddt on the concrete, and Midori takes her into the ring. She delivers a REALAplex and El CHe counts....1......2......2.5 and they forgot about Nicole! She stomps on Midori's stomach hard while in the move. She picks her up by the neck and delivers a choke slam. NiGHT was strutting around the entance as she thought it was all over. She runs in and Nicole gives her a Big Boot. She dumps NiGHT outside and gives her a choke slam on top of some salarymen by ring side. They smile as the pop star islying on their laps. Back in the ring Colleen gives Midori the Blackjack and covers for the win.

4. NANI Super Battle Stuggle: Akira Blaze v. Jo Ryder v. Roselyn Pride v. Kristin Blade v. Cate Archer v. Trish Status v. Lita v. X?!

Battle Royal. 8 wrestlers. No time-limit. No count outs. Falls count anywhere. First one to pin wins. Those are the NANI rules. El Che needs more help for this type of match so he brings in some assistants. Three female referees with Kato Masks, matching his mask, come out. Everyone is in the ring minus the infamous X opponent.
The seven women form a small circle in the middle of the ring and exchange glances among each other. As soon as the bell rings all of them start punching frantically in the circle and hit anyone they see. After four seconds Lita and Trish DROP and the rest in the group disperse and pair up. Pride and Kristin go around double teaming the other three. This ends when Pride chops Kristin. She then tries to give Jo a piledriver but Jo reverses and pulls off one of her own. Kristin drops in and punches her repeatedly while she is down. Akira Blaze connects with a lariat on Cate Archer then recieves a double drop kick from Lita and Trish. They try to cover her and end up bumping into each other. They stuggle for position and Cate kicks each one off. She picks up Akira Blaze and gives her a neckbreaker drop. She tries to go for the cover but is overrun by the clusterfuck the others cause. They all fall over the fallen Akira Blaze. Pride falls over Akira and one of the assistants counts...1...kick out. Blaze snaps out of it and slaps Pride in the face. She then throws her into Cate Archer that was about to get up. They slam into each other with a loud thud. Lita and Trish try to fight each other. They slap each other and then Trish tries to go for a facecrusher on Lita. Her hands somehow slips and she flies through the air landing hard on the ground. Jo front suplexes Lita. She then recieves a stiff lariat from Akira Blaze nears the ropes. Jo steps back bouncing off the ropes and fires back with a jumping front kick before going down. Kristin Blade is now the only one up. She looks around and starts to drag all of them near the corner. She goes up top and yells out to the audience. They cheer back and she does a side roll body press onto the stack of bodies! The fans cheer as she could cover and win. She struggles to get to the nearest person. She puts a hand on Jo and Leche counts....1.....2....interferance?!
It's a White Bear! He came by ringside from the stands and pulled Kristin by the leg. Could he be X? He enters the ring and three more Bears come in fron the back. Yellow Bear, Red Bear, and Black Bear. That's not fair! Black Bear grabs the Bear Crossing sign before he approaches the ring. The women in the ring slowly stand up and go toone sidewhile the Bears look at them from the other. What the hell is this? Then the Bears growl ferociously and Black Bear breaks the wooden sign over Akira Blaze! NANI?! They start to attack the ladies and the audience looks on in terror. They maul, slam, and crush the women. Its getting bad. The crowd start to boo the Bear Attack. Then they all stop as Yoko comes in from the ramp.

[Yoko]: "I will not let you ruin the show Shin Bears!"

She looks back and waves in the rest of the NANI roster! They all come into the ring to take control of the match. The ring is filled with all of the NANI wrestlers. All 19 of them. The Bears look around frantically from one side of the ring. Red Bear pushes to the front and a stream of fire blows out from his snout! All thge NANI stars go down and cover up. This is no Big Fire, this is a motherfucking Dhalsim Yoga Flame. The rest of the Bears take this chance to howl out to the entrance. Then, like some Matrix movie a whole bunch of Bears pour out from the entrance! All a different color they start to attack the NANI stars. Some are pulled from under the bottom rope. and attacked. It is pandemonium. The brawl spills out to the stands and some people get hurt. El Che and his assistants try to help but to no avail. They all get thrown around. Pink Bear comes out and finds D Queen. He begins to maul D Queen and tear off his shirt. D Queen runs away faster than a speeding bullet with Pink Bear closebehind. Run Queen, save your arse. The Bears begin to get nasty. Blue Bear tries to bite off Akira's mask. Brown Bear destroys Tani with a chair. Black Bear tries to break Nicole in half with a Bear Hug, fucking Nicole! Orange Bear organizes Quadruple Hammer Blows then gives the victims a muscle bomb press. This is too much. Then Yoko appears on the upper deck. She seems to be handing something out to the audience members. What could it be? The camera men get a fan to show them. Yes, it's NANI Pooh Honey! Everyone knows Shin Bears hate this stuff! With a NANI yell from Yoko the fans start to throw the plastic NANI Pooh Honey bottles at any Bear they see. The Bears all stop what they are doing when they figure out what hit them,and cower back. Then The NANI stars fight back and it's a beautiful thing: Sin City Stunner, Moonlight Seduction, Deadly Heat, Flash Magic, Stir Of Echos, Baby Slam, Oh! PANDEMONIUM. The bears try to regroup and the conscious ones retreat to the entrance ramp. White Bear comes forth and shakes his paw at the girls and is pelted by the Nani Honey. He runs off with the rest of them. The girls gather inside the ring and lead the building in a last NANI! yell.

Show 2:
The first card was used by Yoko and Akira to convince Yoko’s company (Osuki Electric Co.) to financially support the promotion (much thanks to the NDP girls that participated). After that they went scouting and recruiting. The struggling joshi scene in Japan made it a bit hard, but they managed to scrounge around some small independents and organized a roster. And here it is:

NANI Roster:

Akira Blaze: You know her. Finisher: Deadly Heat

Baby Aki: After the first show she has become more serious about wrestling. She still wants to be a fan favorite but for her abilities rather than her looks. But she doesn’t mind some of the attention though. Finisher: Cute (Flying) Elbow Drop

D Queen: Only man to officially be recruited by NANI and proud of it. Likes to play dress-up more than fight. Finisher: Super Bump (Flying Butt Attack)

Azumi Oonishi: Humble and shy. Doesn’t like to stand out and stuff. Others tell her she has great abilities but she doesn’t believe in herself. Finisher: 450 Splash

Sachi Kiriyama: Believes she is God’s gift to wrestling, despite not having many victories. Likes to go on long rants about why she should be more famous. Finisher: Dragon Suplex

General Hana: She is a tough looking woman. She rarely smiles…or talks. She lets her actions speak for themselves, and they are usually intense. Finisher: Screwdriver

Takara Yamada: Second most experienced in the company next to Akira Blaze and somewhat of a mother figure to the others. She’s a model citizen and an all-around good person. She’s a great overachiever and everyone loves her. Yamada Driver (Michinoku Driver)

Yoyo Banzai: Crazy little bugger that would do anything to win a match, even if it means injuring herself. Has a lucha style. She is usually hyper and sometimes annoys people. She is working to control it but gets carried away most of the time. Finisher: Molotov Cocktail (Corkscrew moonsault)

Blood Reiko: Aligned with Insane Blood Riot. She has finished her training and wants to bring her own taste of the crazy IBR style to the world. She carries a bat around sometimes to look tough. Finisher: Insane Driver (Tiger Driver)

Mihoko Abe: Very serious and filled with tremendous fighting spirit. She likes to be competitive especially when it comes to fighting. Even though she doesn’t look it, she is strong. Finisher: Abe Bomb (Spinning Power Bomb)

Dirty Punks (Anarchy Yumi and Michi Rebel): Anarchy Yumi is a big woman and Michi Rebel is small. Both are punks with crazy colorful hair. They believe in destruction and mayhem (i.e. not shy of the hardcore). Avid fans of the old punk rock music, hence the name. Finishers: Michi Rebel- Rebel Guillotine (somersault legdrop) Anarchy Yumi- Air Zero (Superplex) Team finisher: Rebel Yell (somersault legdrop from the top while Yumi does a sitout powerbomb)

Beauty Max (Pretty Kita and Pretty Emi): They believe they are super heroes. They want to rid the world of all that is evil…in fashion. If your clothes don’t match or you are having a bad hair day you will be taught a lesson from them. This lesson comes in the form of a beating with their Ugly Stick (blue wooden rod). Finishers: Kita- Fisherman Buster, Emi- Flying Double Foot Stomp

Hirota Clan (Sumie Hirota and Yumiko Hirota): The daughters of the Hirota clan. Yumiko is two years older than Sumie so she plays the big sister role most of the time. They are very traditional and always wear kimonos everywhere. They like to uphold honor and respect. They flip out when they don’t get their way. Finishers: Yumiko- Liger Bomb, Sumie: Death Valley Driver

The Shi Bears (Bears of Death): Yes they came back. After the first encounter, they convince Machismo to get rid of all the NANI Pooh Honey in the world. He did and they ate him as thanks. As a result of all the testosterone that is Machismo and the Bear, their bodies upped the estrogen so much that they all became female. This totally works in favor of the whole joshi thing don’t you think? They come out dressed and masked in their respective colors. Their masks are evil-bear like and allow all of their hair to show (think Hayabusa). Each has long crazy hair dyed in their respective color as well. Each one is a formidable sight. This is all that is known about them.

White Bear: Appears to be the leader and mouthpiece for the group. She is probably the most skilled. Finisher: Northern Lights Bomb

Black Bear: The biggest sized of the group. She must be very strong. Finisher: Fist of Death (Flying fist drop that sucks all the life/energy out of the victim)

Yellow Bear: Smallest of the group. Has a lot of speed. Finisher: Star of Death (SSP)

Red Bear: Danger. Proceed with caution. Finisher: Death Fire Bomb (Thunder Fire Powerbomb)

During the next few shows The Shi Bears fought with the NANI group of Akira Blaze, Takara Yamada, Baby Aki, and Azumi Oonishi. Akira Blaze felt that Takara Yamada was the most able and together they were coaching Baby Aki and Oonishi. Oonishi needed the help. After each fight her confidence was growing little by little. Eventually, after a match with White Bear that had a LOT of interference, Akira Blaze made it official and made Super Max. It was a stable to compete with the Shi Bears and protect NANI. The Dirty Punks thought this was the stupidest and funniest thing ever. They formed Super Fucking and recruited Blood Reiko and Yoyo Banzai as a parody. This led to a change in NANI. Everyone organized and 5 units were formed

*Baby Aki wanted to be taken more seriously and changed her name to MAKI. It is part of her real name.

After witnessing this Yoko made the NJMS Super Gang Titles and organized a tournament to see which group would win them. She didn’t include Super Fucking in the tournament unless they changed their names. They didn’t and the tournament went on. In the finals Super Max met with the Shi Bears. After a heated battle Super Fucking came down to the ring loaded with weapons and laid waste to everything. The match ended in a double KO. There are very few things that could lead to a DQ in NANI.
Yoko decided to have a Triangle Gang Fight to resolve this after Blaze and White Bear agreed. Three members of each team would participate. If the Super Fucking team won, they would be in a title match with the winner of the Shi Bears v. Super Max rematch. If they lost there would only be the rematch for the titles. And an Aoi Haru v. Fighting Elegy problem also needed to be resolved. Aoi Haru gave General Hana and Mihoko Abe a beating with the Ugly Stick during the tournament. That show went like this:

And so the Shi Bears and Super Max would have to fight to see who would fight Super Fucking for the titles. Unfortunately it would have to be on the same night, but hey…they agreed. Here is how that went:

Aoi Haru (D Queen, Pretty Kita and Sachi Kiriyama) defeated
Fighting Elegy (Mihoko Abe, Sumie Hirota and Yumiko Hirota) by escaping the cage in 0:28:54.
4. No-Time-Limit-No-DQ-Two-out-of-three-Falls Match for the vacant NJMS Super Gang Titles
Super Fucking (Anarchy Yumi, Blood Reiko, Michi Rebel and Yoyo Banzai) beat
Super Max (Akira Blaze, Azumi Oonishi, MAKI and Takara Yamada) 2 falls to 1:
-Michi Rebel beat Takara Yamada via pinfall in 0:04:27
-Azumi Oonishi beat Michi Rebel via the 450 Splash in 0:13:35

Super Max was just too tired to win. MAKI and Azumi Oonishi were crushed emotionally and physically. After the match the four members of Super Fucking took the titles and went into the audience. They gave middle fingers to the camera in front of the Okinawa yakuza in attendance while holding the belts. A picture of Super Fucking and their yakuza friends made it into the newspapers and Osuki Electric Co. almost pulled the plug. Luckily Yoko was able to convince them not to by reminding them how much advertising they just got.

Yoko then made the NJMS Tag Team Titles and organized a tournament. Akira Blaze and Takara Yamada decided to put MAKI and Azumi Oonishi in it to boost up their skills and confidence. It worked and they made it to the finals after beating Beauty Max and the Shi Bear team of Black Bear and White Bear. They faced The Hirota Clan in the finals. The Hirota Clan got there by beating the respective teams of Super Fucking (Dirty Punks and the other two). In that match MAKI got desperate and used some brass knuckles on Yumiko Hirota for the win.

Hirota Clan (Sumie Hirota and Yumiko Hirota) when MAKI pinned Yumiko Hirota after hitting her with brass knuckles in 0:37:56.

Takara Yamada immediately came out and apologized to Fighting Elegy before they put a beat down on MAKI. MAKI explained that she was desperate for a win after the gang fights. Yamada was able to convince them that it was a young stupid mistake and there would be a rematch for the titles. After a show with an all random card (NANI won’t be having those again since it was a hard sell) this show took place:

1. Pretty Kita pinned Blood Reiko with the Fisherman Buster in 0:14:53.
2. Black Bear pinned Pretty Emi with the Black Fist of Death in 0:10:35.
3. Takara Yamada pinned Mihoko Abe with the Yamada Driver in 0:15:22.

Michi Rebel pinned Red Bear with the Rebel Guillotine in 0:14:55.

Super Max (Azumi Oonishi and MAKI) when Yumiko Hirota pinned MAKI after a small package in 0:16:01.

In match number 4 Michi Rebel went through hell to take out the beast Red Bear. She was able to win with the help of a road sign, a chair, a table, Blood Reiko’s bat, and nunchucks. In the last match the ending happened in the ropes. Unfortunately for MAKI the ref was Kato666 and counted anyway. MAKI accepted her fate and together with Oonishi she shook the hands of the Hirota girls and put the belts around their waists. They are cool now.
